Very tasty and authentic Japanese food! Order with their QR code and pickup your food to go. They are a kitchen only, no dine in. We ordered 3 onigiri and the chicken bento. The bento was enough of food for the two of us, plenty big! Lots of pickles and side dishes in the box as well. The onigiri are also large, VERY delicious! The rice is the best!!
We stumbled upon Hatake Farm Kitchen on a roadtrip and it blew us away. I am already planning our next roadtrip around stopping here again, as I haven’t stopped thinking about our meal. We got the miso cod bento, a couple veggie rolls, and veggie tempura. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. But we especially LOVED the miso cod bento. The fish was so tender, with deep umami flavor - it was heavenly. The veggies and rice that came in the bento were also spectacular, and all of it came together into truly perfect bites. I cannot wait to go back, and would recommend going very far out of your way to eat here!
Unbelievably delicious sushi. Fine dining you can eat on a bench. We got the triple salmon roll which blew us away, salmon roe, and local mushroom chowder. As high quality as it comes while highlighting local, seasonal foods. Could not recommend more. & The owner is a delight.

Honestly, I’m blown away by the quality of the food. This place is just as good, if not better than much of the Japanese food establishments we can find in the Bay Area. The produce and fish used is so fresh and what you get is honestly amazing for the price point. Inari and ikura were outstanding. The salmon onigiri might honestly be the best onigiri I’ve had on this side of the Pacific. Black cod bento box was ridiculous: the cod was so incredibly tender, the array of vegetables was a work of art, and the portions generous enough for two! Also, the rice is honestly so good. I could eat that plain. We came here twice in the three days we were at Willits. Can’t wait for their eventual expansion. Also, I get the sense that the team behind Hatake are wonderful people. Thank you Tony and Chef Ryo for the wonderful food and even preparing dishes on New Year’s Eve. PS: my gf asked me to write this so she could compliment Chef Ryo and express to him how good his food was. She also wanted to say we only meant to get a roll before we left, but we ended up ordering another bento, an onigiri, the mendo poppers, and ikura. Absolutely amazing! This place deserves 10 stars! He is a master of his art! We ordered multiple items everything we ordered was delicious. Undescribable, perfect flavoring! The best food we've ever had! I promise if you eat here you won't be disappointed! We will be going back very often! Just a heads up if it is your first time they have a grab and go on the main street with a few tables. In the back alley there is the pickup for the online orders. It's a black screen door. I'm only adding this because we went on the main street because we were unsure. And we bought more from the grab and go before we picked up our order in the back!
